WORKING GROUPS
Six articulated working groups gathering for human rights' defense

Since its creation in 2019, the initiative has woven a network of solidarity among feminist organizations, women’s funds, social collectives, and activists from Latin America and Europe — a key articulation within the transregional feminist movement. In the face of rising authoritarianism, corruption, and the far right, the response has been clear: shifting from reaction to collective strategic action, driving co-creation processes within diverse working groups.

Collective care and action

In a global context marked by the rise of anti-rights movements and the growth of conservative narratives that threaten human rights, the interregional alliance for democracy, known as On The Right Track, continues to strengthen its mission: to build an inclusive, just, and truly democratic future.

New working groups to face current challenges

In 2025, these collaborative spaces have grown stronger and expanded — from four to six — with the addition of key new areas for social transformation: Political violence, Sexual and reproductive rights, and LGBTIQANB+ rights. These join the existing groups on Antiracism, Collective care (Acuerpamiento), and Feminist communications.

Each group operates from an intersectional feminist perspective, tackling structural inequalities and co-creating tools rooted in territorial experiences. Moreover, the groups function autonomously, sharing knowledge and developing inclusive communication strategies, with a strong focus on resistance narratives and the defense of LGBTIQ+ rights in increasingly hostile contexts.

Networks of care, digital connection, and collective rising

The six working groups hold regular gatherings to share experiences, co-design proposals, and build bridges between struggles. This collaborative approach is supported by a shared digital space designed for exchange, networking, and the sharing of resources. Within this digital environment, feminist digital care is prioritized — a key element for the safety and wellbeing of activists, human rights defenders, and feminist communicators in an era of hyper-surveillance.

In addition to virtual meetings, the alliance continues committed to organize in-person spaces that strengthen interregional ties. These spaces bring together women’s organizations, feminist funds, LGBTIQ+ networks, and human rights defenders to weave shared strategies to confront today’s urgent threats.

Conviction and articulation

On The Right Track reaffirms its conviction: every alliance, every action, and every shared narrative are steps toward a more diverse, safe, and democratic world. In times of regression, the articulation between women’s funds, LGBTIQ+ movements, antiracist networks, and social organizations is more urgent than ever.
